Stonnington Council
ASK THE MAYOR TO RESIGN NOW

It was recently revealed via the Herald Sun that the Mayor of Stonnington has a contract with VCAT for $510,000 (this is in the public domain).
According to the Independent Remuneration Tribunal (who sets Mayor and Councillor salaries), the role of a mayor is meant to be "full time hours" and that is why the allowance is $138,506 per annum. The mayor is also provided with a car and expenses.
Stonnington residents and ratepayers need to be confident that the Mayor is representing their interests on a "full time basis".
The mayor receives $2,663 a week to represent you.
Whilst the mayor is not doing anything illegal; you deserve a mayor who delivers for the community.
In 2021 the Victorian Remuneration Tribunal increased the mayor allowance from $100,434 to $138,506 (today) in recognition that a mayor should be working FULL TIME HOURS
This was to enable councillors the financial support to take career breaks or change employment to become the mayor "full time".
