 Councils have been cancelling Australia Day events for years

​Some Councils have started to remove the Australian Flag from publications

Some Councils have removed the Australian Flag from display or use in ceremonies

 

Everyone ​​​has the right to celebrate Australia Day as they see fit

KEEP AUSTRALIA DAY AND

THE AUSTRALIAN FLAG PETITION

We the undersigned ask the Council to ensure that:


  • Council holds Australia Day events for ALL viewpoints.

  • The Australian Flag is kept flying on Council flagpoles at all times.

  • The Australian Flag is used in all official ceremonies of Council.

  • The Australian Flag is included in all printed publications.

  • The Australian Flag is always displayed where the Indigenous and Torres Strait Flags are used.

  • That no other flag is flown from Council flag poles without a public resolution of Council.
