Cost of living pressures are hitting us all. None more than pensioners on low and fixed incomes. Knox Council is seeking to CUT the pensioner rates discount by 25% in its draft budget

KNOX COUNCIL PETITION

To the Mayor and Councillors of the Knox City Council

I, the undersigned, petition the Knox City Council to:


  1. Reinstate the full $100 pensioner discount into the Knox Council Budget in 2026/27

  2. Issue a public apology to all pensioners for the distress and harm caused

  3. Write to all Senior Citizens and elderly services providers assuring them Knox remains committed to the support of all elderly persons.
