SAY NO TO CASEY COUNCIL

PRIVATE LAND PERMITS AND

FEE GOUGING PETITION

Dear Mayor, Councillors, CEO and Executives of Casey Council.

The following petitioners draw the attention of the Council to the Casey community’s opposition with the implementation of permits and fees for private land use, as referenced here:

https://www.casey.vic.gov.au/apply-private-land-use-permit

Private land is just that - PRIVATE.

Council does not need to regulate private land use (unless in breach of the planning scheme) and this is just an appalling cash grab by a greedy Council.

We implore newly elected Councillors to abolish this regime and review all fees and charges to ensure they align with community expectations.

Ratepayers pay rates for services, not for Council officers to find more ways to charge and gouge us - especially in a cost-of-living crisis.
