The agenda of the MCC council meeting for 19 November included the ‘official’ community survey results that gave the Council a glowing residents satisfaction rating of 6.9 out of 10.
Local ratepayers commenting in our social media group were astounded and outright disgusted by the ‘official’ result.
So I emailed Councillors to ask the ‘official’ surveys be discontinued, because they ask irrelevant questions and cost too much.
Several Councillors stood up at the meeting to state how professional the survey was, that market research is a very complicated area and that it would cost far more, for Council to conduct the survey itself.
In other words, Council is right and residents are wrong and no discussion will be entered into. Again.
